1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how [Company legal name] ("MogranHub", "we", "us"), registered at [address], collects, uses and protects personal data when you use mogranhub.com and the MogranHub mobile apps (the "Platform"). We are the controller of this data. Questions go to info@mogranhub.com.
The Platform is a business directory, so much of what you add to your profile is meant to be public to help buyers and suppliers find you. This policy tells you which parts are public and which stay private.
2. What data we collect
| Type | Examples | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Account data | Name, email, phone, WhatsApp number, password (stored encrypted), language | You |
| Profile data | Company or trading name, logo or photo, location, business type, products, capacity, export markets, website | You |
| Verification data | Commercial registration, export licence, ID of the owner or manager, certificates, lab reports, sample and site-visit results | You, and our verification staff |
| Activity data | RFQs, messages, saved items, listings you view, reports you make | Your use of the Platform |
| Payment data | Plan bought, invoices, payment status (card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us) | You and our payment provider |
| Device data | IP address, browser, device type, app version, approximate country, pages visited | Collected automatically |
| Screening data | Results of sanctions and fraud checks | Public sanctions lists and screening providers |
3. How we use data and who can see it
We use your data to:
- create and run your account and profile;
- show your listings in search and connect you with buyers or suppliers;
- deliver RFQs, messages and notifications;
- check documents and award verification badges;
- screen users against sanctions lists and prevent fraud and abuse;
- bill paid plans and keep financial records;
- improve the Platform and measure how it is used;
- send service emails and, if you agree, marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time).
We use your data because it is needed to provide the service you signed up for, because we have a legitimate interest in running a safe marketplace, because the law requires it (for example sanctions and tax rules), or because you gave consent (for marketing).
Who can see it
| Data | Visible to |
|---|---|
| Public profile, listings, badge level | Everyone, including visitors who are not logged in |
| Phone, WhatsApp and email | Logged-in users, or as you choose in privacy settings |
| Messages and RFQs | Only the users in that conversation, and our staff when handling a report |
| Verification documents and ID | Our verification staff only, never shown publicly |
| Payment and screening data | Our staff and the providers below |
We share data only with: hosting and database providers, email and SMS providers, our payment provider, sanctions screening and verification partners, professional advisers, and authorities when the law requires. We do not sell personal data.
4. Transfers, retention and security
International transfers. Our users and service providers are in many countries, and our servers may be outside your country (for example in the European Union or the United States). When data leaves your country, we use providers with recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account and profile | While your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closure |
| Messages and RFQs | While your account is open; copies held by the other user stay in their account |
| Verification documents | While your badge is active, plus up to 2 years for fraud and legal records |
| Payment and invoice records | As long as tax law requires (usually 5–7 years) |
| Device and usage logs | Up to 12 months |
Security. We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, access controls so only authorised staff see verification documents, and regular backups. No system is fully secure; if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
5. Your rights and other terms
Your rights. Depending on where you live, you can ask to:
- see a copy of the data we hold about you;
- correct wrong or incomplete data;
- delete your account and data (you can also do this in Settings);
- receive your data in a portable format;
- object to or limit certain uses, including marketing;
- withdraw consent you gave earlier.
Email info@mogranhub.com. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity. Some data we must keep for legal reasons, even after a deletion request. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your language, and analytics cookies to understand how the Platform is used. Where the law requires, we ask your consent for non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer of every page.
Age limit. The Platform is for adults doing business. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes. We may update this policy and will post the new version with its date. For important changes we will notify you by email or on the Platform.
Language. This policy is available in English and Arabic. If the versions differ, the English version applies.
